I’m having one of those “it’s amazing” moments.

I’m installing a new 8 TB drive as our data needs have grown, and it’s time to “clean house”.  It’s been 17+ years of clients and projects and their respective files and our files are “everywhere” to the point where it is causing inefficiency. That’s not the story though.

I remember my very first Terabyte Drive – It went into a Novel Server, that they had to make custom adjustments to the operating system in order to support such a large drive, it ran over $100K and was for South Carolina’s Unemployment Division (if memory serves me right).  It was so amazing that a TB drive would go into a microprocessor driven server that it made the newspapers!

And today, you throw in an 8 TB drive for $140 from Amazon, life goes on for a little itty bitty while…..
